Larp started as an acronym, meaning “Live Action Roleplay” – these days it might just be a word. “Larp” just means any form of roleplaying that involves actually acting things out: in practice, this often means costumes, set dressing, and sometimes even hitting people with foam swords.
Most Larp in New Zealand is organised by NZLARPS.
Phoenix is Christchurch’s annual live action convention.
